General Question by parents and guardians.
How do I know if MindSproutLab is right for my child?
MindSproutLab is perfect for children who could benefit from stronger emotional regulation, better social skills, increased confidence, or improved coping strategies. If your child experiences anxiety, friendship challenges, emotional outbursts, or struggles with transitions, our program can help. We offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your child's specific needs.
What technology do we need to participate?
You'll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a reliable internet connection, camera, and microphone. We use Zoom, which is easy to install and child-friendly. We provide technical support and have backup options if you experience any difficulties.
How do you ensure my child's safety online?
Child safety is our top priority. All sessions are facilitated by child and youth professionals, recorded for safety purposes, and monitored in real-time. We use secure, password-protected platforms with child safety settings. Our facilitators are trained in recognizing concerning behaviors and have protocols for immediate parent communication and crisis intervention.
Can my child start mid-year or do they have to wait for the beginning?
Children can join at the beginning of any quarter (every 13 weeks). This allows them to start fresh with a new theme and ensures they don't miss foundational concepts. We also offer catch-up sessions for children joining mid-quarter when space allows.
What's included in my child's program enrollment?
Every MindSproutLab program includes weekly live sessions with trained facilitators in small groups (max 8 children), take-home activities and monthly progress reports showing your child's growth, parent support including consultations, comprehensive assessments at start, midpoint, and program completion, certificate of completion documenting your child's new skills, and 6-month follow-up to ensure your child continues thriving.
What if my child misses a session?
We know that life sometimes gets in the way of your child's scheduled session. When this occurs, please contact our team at hello@mindsproutlab.com at least 24 hours in advance of your session time. This allows us to credit the missed session to your account so you won't be charged for a session your child was unable to join.
How do you measure progress?
We use multiple assessment methods including pre/post skill evaluations, monthly progress reports, parent feedback surveys, and child self-assessments. You'll receive detailed updates on your child's specific growth areas and see concrete examples of skill development.
